Ultimate Guide 2025 on the Best Wedding Venues in Tuscany | Italy

Italian natives often call their own motherland with the romantic Bel paese - a classical poetical appellative for Italy, meaning actually the "beautiful country".

I am not native citizen, but I couldn’t agree more! Italy is the most beautiful country I have seen in Europe.

I moved here 8,5 years ago and I'm still exploring, constantly traveling around the peninsula. I might think that I already know Italy so well, but in Tuscany itself, where I am based, I keep discovering blank spots on the map almost every weekend.

This sweet discovery is never ending.

As a destination wedding photographer in Tuscany I am in my paradise.

If I had to choose where to get married, I wouldn't know whether to choose Tuscany or the Dolomites in Italian Alps.

Today, however, I wanted to write my suggestions on where to get married particularly in Tuscany.

Getting Married in Tuscany, Italy

Tuscany is a region of Italy whose capital is Florence. It is known for idyllic panoramic views of rolling hills with cypresses, vineyards, olive grooves, rural landscapes with stone countryside estates on top and small, picturesque medieval towns *borgo - not to mention epic Florence backdrops.

It's the postcard image of Tuscany we all keep from the movies. In fact, you will find much more here, because we have islands, high mountains, marble mines, thermal baths, Etruscan temples. Who came here once will always come back.

As a local Italian photographer, during the wedding season I have the opportunity to get to know the most beautiful gems of Tuscany and among hundreds of wedding venues I visited I can already create my subjective list of the best locations where you can have your wedding or elopement in Tuscany.

The selection is truly huge and yes, I know how lost you feel if you are looking for your dream venue over the Internet. Some of you can't even come for a site inspection because you live overseas or you don't have time.

For brides and grooms who get lost in the maze of proposals, I just created this guide of Tuscan wedding venues for unforgettable romance.

I will list you the top places that are the most photogenic and the most beautiful from my point of view as an professional expert wedding photographer in Tuscany.

This is not an advertisement in the sense that I do not recommend the location here, because I have some benefit from it. I recommend it from the heart, because I know that they are honestly the most phenomenal.

How to choose The best Wedding Venue in Tuscany?

Of course even if you are in the euphoria of love, you as partners have to ask yourself a number of practical questions and once you know the answer, you can let yourself be carried away by emotions and aesthetic impressions.

Start with question if you need a large villa or a castle that can accommodate more than 100 people, or are you planning an intimate wedding for your family and closest friends, so maybe smaller agroturismo will be enough for your tribe.

This should be your first selection criteria: the number of wedding attendants.

Of course, you will also have to take into account your budget.

My suggestions are from different budget ranges: luxurious or more affordable, those that can be rented with an overnight stay and spend a vacation there ( so maybe you want a swimming pool and great breakfasts), or those that can be rented only for event, ceremony and reception. An important key to your choice will be food, great wine, catering, but also design, the look of the rooms inside, possibilities of good parting and transport options. It is such a fun to see wedding celebrations that extend beyond a single day through group activities like , pizza party, cooking classes, hot air balloon rides, beach days and horseback riding to name a few.

The venues I am about to share are often the perfect situation if you envision an intimate getaway with your guests across a whole week or weekend. Tuscan weddings are known for more relaxed feeling and typical “dolce far niente” touch. Each of the locations you find in my guide is different, one of the kind but I guarantee you that it is gorgous and will give you the essence of the Italian vibe you are looking for.
