Multi-day Elopement Wedding in Agafay Desert and Marrakech| Morocco
From stargazing to sunrise air balloon rides, let’s uncover the story of two blissfully in-love nurses, who recently experienced their dream elopement wedding in Morocco ( February 2021).
Maya and Matthew, who live in the van and work at the same hospital in USA, had their big wedding plans for 2020. Even though a pandemic and travel restrictions prevented them from celebrating the way they had planned…nothing was going to stop this pair of adventurous souls from tying the knot.
Maya and Matthew became excited to scale down their big day and turn it into an experience of a lifetime in the beautiful Marrakech.
Adventure & Amour
Their engagement on a hot air balloon ride sets the scene for Maya and Matthew’s unforgettable elopement; they were looking for adventure and an unforgettable experience.
Reflecting their love of culture and connecting with new people, Morocco was naturally their number one choice.
As they floated over the Atlas Mountains at sunrise in an air balloon, rode camels, enjoyed yoga with a view, and treated themselves to an authentic shopping trip in Medina, their very first visit to Africa certainly won’t be forgotten in a hurry.
Maya and Matthew’s elopement wedding in Morocco wasn’t just a day to remember, it was a multi-faceted experience.
Design & Details
Maya and Matthew’s elopement wedding in Morocco showcased a balance of modern and berber style. Exuding bohemian vibes, the couple settled on a nude colour palette, influenced by sand, stone and, very fittingly, the desert.
Every inch of design is inspired by Morocco, with locally sourced furniture, decor and dried flowers from local artisan. With a Berber Beni Ourain rug, leather brown seats, and wooden vow books the design oozed authenticity, with a nod to modern romance.
Magic & Memories
The backdrop for Maya and Matthew’s intimate elopement wedding in Morocco was flawless. I captured every moment of their journey to tell their story forever.
As the couple interacted with the locals, experienced a hammam spa, and spent an evening star-gazing in Agafay Desert, not a moment of their adventure was missed. With peaceful surroundings, Maya’s stunning Oscar de la Renta wedding dress was also given the spotlight it deserves!
The unique intimacy of a multi-day elopement wedding in Marrakech allows every moment to be divinely documented.
