Those of you who read my Insta Stories on Instagram must have known how I love mountains and Switzerland. My joy was endless, so when I received an inquiry about a year ago from a German couple living in Zurich, full of warmth and trust, asking if I could come to immortalize their civil wedding in the city and church ceremony in the Swiss Alps. At that time, I could not know how wonderful people they would be, how their family would look after me and treat me as a family member on those days when I would accompany them. We went to the wedding in the mountains with classic old styled Mercedes, and we stayed for all this time in one of the most amazing hotels I have ever seen - Kurhaus Hotel in Bergün.
The Bergün town, which is full of skiers in the winter season, is rather extinct in the spring season, which adds to the atmosphere of the place sth timeless, like it was from another era. Typical Swiss mountain houses, as if cut out of paintings, decorated in a traditional style, cows, horses, streams, a completely different rhythm meant that I could not put down the camera even when I was not working. Too much beauty around!
In all this visual story beneath you will also notice that my passion for architecture and design has not been exhausted on the houses of little town, but I could not get over capturing hotel details, colors, ceilings or even furniture decorations. You can see how many photos of the interior of the hotel went to the hands of my couple, who chose this special place not without reason.
The large hall in which the reception party took place was decorated with flowers by the Bride's mother. It was the pearl of this building with its sky blue ceiling and typical Jugendstil paintings. Some of the original Kurhaus furniture was reconstructed and rebuilt in Vietnam, and now contribute in no small way to recreate the atmosphere of the old days. The wedding was very familiar and I would say even intimate, filled with heart, the warmth of friends and family and music. Every now and then some of the guests started playing an instrument or singing. It was a very musical wedding !!!
