Some weddings are more than celebrations—they’re experiences that reflect the essence of a couple. This was the case with a recent multi-day destination wedding I captured in the Dolomites. The Singaporean-Dutch couple, passionate travelers and adventurers, curated a celebration that was deeply intentional and unmistakably “them.”

It began with an adventurous pre-wedding hike. A misty, tranquil day among the towering peaks of the Dolomites gave us moving clouds, a sense of solitude, and moments of pure magic. The effort was worth it—our time in the mountains set the tone for an unforgettable celebration in Val di Funes.

The wedding blended minimalist white design with modern alpine architecture and natural wood elements. Every detail, from handwritten vows and a symbolic sand ceremony to intimate speeches and outfit changes, was thoughtful and heartfelt. Guests, who traveled from around the globe, enjoyed authentic Tyrolean cuisine, local wines, and the sounds of traditional alpine music.

The third day of festivities concluded with a hike to a secluded malga, where a folk-style Tyrolean lunch and yodel singing provided a joyful farewell.
